About

My personal treasure trove of quotable quotes…

I am a lover of quotes. I recognize the knowledge and wisdom that resides in lives lived before me: more expansive than I could ever hope for, and more educated than I ever could be. I love that one line can make me drift off into thought for minutes, or that one phrase can bring me to tears. Quotes inspire me. So I collect them.  Often, my quotes find me.

I collect quotes like people collect coins, stamps, or precious pieces of art. See, quotes, being condensed pieces of wisdom, are little jewels to me. Priceless pearls. My trophies. My art collection. My treasure. I scour ads, books, magazines, signs, bumper stickers, t-shirts, and web sites. I tear out articles, print out e-mails, save wrappers, fortune cookie inserts, ads, labels, envelopes, greeting cards, calendars and more. Slips of paper and index cards get thrown into the box. And why?

Because.
Because such few words can change a heart, a mind, a destiny.
Because sometimes, I just need to find the right quote for the right situation.

And quite simply put:
Because the fact that someone took the time to write something down…knowledge gleaned or gained, insight or enlightenment received and shared means something to me.

So, I thought this was a way I could back-up my handwritten and collected files electronically for cross-reference. But why keep them to myself? I want share them with you as you will probably pass the favor on and share them with others. After all, how smart is it to bottle wisdom up all for yourself, right?

Use These Words.

When you are in need of just the right phrase – to finish a speech, to begin an article, to flesh out just what it is you’re trying to say, to send a greeting, a word of encouragement, to journal, to scrapbook, to cheer yourself up, to make you keep going on – use these words of wisdom as your inspiration.

Love the wisdom a good quote can give you. Laugh. Love. Learn. Live. Ponder the thoughts these writers, celebrities, movies, everyday people, and ancient texts have in store for you.

Search for what you need, “Seek and ye shall find.”

So enjoy what little I have to give here, but come back often to see what’s been added or sign up for the feed that will bring the quotes directly to your inbox when this site is updated. And if there is a particular quote you want, need, or especially want to share, please do so! Send me an e-mail and although I may not be able to get back to you because of volume or time constraints, I promise each note will be read. Or just comment below!

To quote a great book, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (Matthew 6:21)

May you find as many treasures in words as I have.

Much love,

Kelley Taylor
